What Will My First Visit Be Like at Maxillofacial Surgery Center Dr. Patrick A. Abbey, DMD, PA?

Welcome to our practice! It is a pleasure to call you a patient. We will use your first visit both as a standard hygiene appointment and an opportunity to hear your concerns and goals about your oral health. You will meet our expert team during this appointment, too.

During your hygiene exam, we will clean your teeth, take x-rays and discuss any past or present dental issues and concerns. We’ll also have you fill out new patient forms so we can enter your information into our system and use this to aid future treatments and appointments with us.

How Often Should I Come to Maxillofacial Surgery Center Dr. Patrick A. Abbey, DMD, PA for Treatment?

Biannual hygiene appointments are essential for maintaining long-term oral health wellness, and our Front Desk team will work with you to schedule these cleanings and checkups. 

Part of a hygiene appointment and cleaning is also closely examining your mouth for any signs of decay, irregularities or concern. If we happen to notice a cavity or anything else requiring further treatment, we will schedule a follow-up appointment with you for the necessary procedure based on our mutual availability as patient and practice.

As a full-service dental practice, our expert team is pleased to provide additional aesthetic, restorative and preventative treatments that may interest you depending on your goals. If you are interested in exploring and trying our full range of services, you may come to our office more frequently in between your twice-a-year hygiene appointments.

What Happens During My Regular Dental Visit?

During your biannual hygiene appointment, our team here at Maxillofacial Surgery Center Dr. Patrick A. Abbey, DMD, PA will thoroughly clean your teeth and examine them for any new developments or issues since your last visit. We may also take x-rays so we can closely evaluate your teeth, gums and jaw. You will have time to ask our team any questions and share concerns you may have regarding your oral health.
